The Guangzhou Orchid Garden is located opposite Yuexiu Park and provides an oasis of calm in the middle of a busy Chinese city. The orchid garden has three greenhouses and houses over 2000 varieties of orchids. A stroll through the path past
variously colored flowers, teahouses and greenhouses with orchids makes for a heavenly experience.
The orchid garden has been landscaped beautifully with ponds, sculptures, pagodas, bamboos and other plants like creepers, rare flowers and luxuriant bushes. There are over 20 acres of land in the garden to be explored, which are filled with tropical trees and orchids. Around 10,000 potted orchids can be found within the garden, which cover over 2,000 species.
The orchid garden is a cool and quiet place. Travelers can be sure to experience floral bliss by walking around and exploring the garden. The Guangzhou Orchid Garden specializes in planting orchids since 1950 and features some of the beautiful flowers of the variety.
An orchid exhibition show is open all through the year in the garden. Exotic tea is served in the garden and the tourists are provided with the double treat of enjoying nature and tea at the same time.
